It looks like I will be getting a full time summer field manager position with Environment California. I was nervous when I walked in because it was me and like, five other people, but I ROCKED THAT INTERVIEW SO HARD and she offered me a job pretty much on the spot.
EEEEEEEEE. I WILL GET PAID! Probably not enough for the hours I'll be working but it's STILL MONEY! Not to mention more for my resume. :D

After being vaguely sick this morning (my stomach decided to empty itself on the spur of the moment), I recovered enough to go see the play No Child... at the Berkeley Repertory Theater, which was one of the most amazing things I've seen in a long while. It was written and performed by a woman who had taught an acting class in a school in the Bronx, and man... the things she said about the way some students get left behind (you got that from the title, didn't you?) were really poignant. It made me think, laugh, and tear up a bit. You can read more about it here. Some people are just astonishingly awesome. Of course, then I came home to vagina-like plants on my f-list and found this trailer through the comments... holy fuck, you guys, how have I not heard of that movie before?? I need to see it. Like, now. In fandom news, I have not finished my latest fic, ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) hp_traditions is finishing up soon, and I keep feeling bad when I see posts like this in the DE Smutathon, because of my misunderstanding with the mod. I have written a pinch-hit for that fest, and should therefore be feeling really awesome about it (right?) but I accidentally made her think that I'd write a second pinch-hit that I really wasn't feeling up to doing, when I was just trying to offer myself as a very, very last resort. I hate making mod's lives harder, I know what it's like. >.> It has also been scientifically determined that my Draco!muse cannot go without Morag for more than 48 hours without going insane.
